What I am going to do over Christmas Break

Over break, I am going to do on Christmas break is work out for football here at Stevenson Monday-Wednesday, I am going to run to prepare for track, I am going to hang out with friends (mostly Sean and Dean), get a lot of presents on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, see a lot of family, and most of all the most important part is I am going to eat a crap load of food I’ll probably gain at least 8 pounds no joke. On Christmas Eve I am going to wake up at like 11 am, shower and get ready to go to my mom’s parents house, then we are going to leave at about 12 pm and it will take like a freaking hour to get to their house which is in Trenton. When we get there typical things will happen like all the old people saying oh my you’ve grown and I’m like uhmmmm…. Yeah that tends to happen. Then we will eat a bunch of food and dessert and then open presents then I will eat more dessert. Then my grandpa will talk to me for several hours about how I’m doing in sports. After that we will at about 6 pm to my dad’s parents house and when we get there we are going to talk to family forever, I will pretty much hang out with my cousin Carynn the whole time and my grandpa. Then I’ll beat up my 12 year old cousin for an hour. Then I’ll ask my grandma when we open presents then she’ll say never and we will like 2 hours later. Then we’ll go home.

Naughty
I was naughty this year about this time right now. About 3 weeks ago someone was being naughty and telling my friends mom naughty things that aren’t true at all and was doing that because they were jealous I hang out with them so I told the mom off on the phone and told the person that made stuff up about me off. I thought it was hilarious. Then they said it was charma that I’m not a loud to hang out with the girl anymore, and then like a week later the person who made stuff up about me was crying during class and I thought she looked like a rat and I was cracking up. When she walked by I was like charma, right? She kind of looked like she might want to kill me and I was deviously smirking.

Nice
Besides that this year I was actually pretty nice. Like I don’t really do anything really nice, but I don’t do anything mean.

Successes/Failures
This year some of my successes were I got good grades. I got all a’s and b’s. I only got 1 c+ this year which was my worst grade and it was in science. I did alright this year in football and usually do better, it was kind of hard to adjust to a new team and new coach and new everything, I did pretty good though. As a team we did horrible we went 0-1-8. I blame it on JV taking our only quarterback because we couldn’t find a quarterback and when we did they were just descent it took more than half the year to find one.

Home Sweet Home

My house will be in Ann Arbor, Michigan because Ann Arbor is sweet. It actually will not be a house it will be an apartment and it will $595 to live there per month and the cost of the utilities will be $80. So I will only be spending $675 per month on a 2 bedroom apartment that includes air conditioning, cable ready, carpeting, available high speed internet, walk-in closets, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and a refrigerator. The property has a laundry room, the parking is covered, there’s a clubhouse, fitness center, pool, spa/hot tub, tennis court, a balcony, extra storage units, and unlike most other apartments, you are actually aloud to have cats and dogs.

Career Cruising

1.
Miner (Underground)

2.
Heavy Equipment Operator

3.
Plasterer

4.
Drywaller

5.
Production Woodworker

6.
Sheet Metal Worker

7.
Crane Operator

8.
Gunsmith

9.
Automotive Painter

10.
Personal Trainer

I would like to possibly be a gunsmith in the future depending on their pay. It sounds fun just from the name gunsmith. It sounds like a great, fun career where you get to design, build, and repair guns. Obviously a career involving guns would be very exciting and interesting, but I’ll even bet that if you’re a gunsmith you’ll shoot guns very often too which would be very fun. Another career on my matchmaker I think would be a pretty good career is a personal trainer. In football season we have a personal trainer so I already know like exactly what they do pretty much. If a kid gets injured they go to you and you tape them up or ice them or even sometimes have hot water packs you put on them, you fill up the huge water jugs and you put them on the side line of the team’s practice so they have enough water and don’t get dehydrated. They both sound pretty fun to me but I don’t have a clue how well they get payed, and I like the big dollars.

Halloween Plans

My Halloween plans are to hang out with my best friends Sean and Dominique, were going to get like 4 pillow cases full of candy and were going to hang out with a bunch of random people and then hang out at Sean’s house and invite some chicks probably.
My favorite Halloween costume is to dress like a chick and have all chick clothes on and put make up on because its really funny and I might do it this year…
I hope for candy people will give it my favorite candy which is skittles, m & m’s, now and laters, starbursts, mambas, and sour patches. I hope people give out like bbq chips and popcorn because I have that at home already.
My favorite scary movies are Friday the 13th, The hills have eyes, Orphan, The SAW series, The new Halloween movies, and all the scary movies rob zombie makes like The Devils Rejects because they’re really bloody and funny.

A Perfect Day

If I had 24 hours to live, first off, I definitely wouldn’t go to school. I would have my mom cook my favorite meal for every meal of the day. I would get together with my entire family and friends who I would invite to a party.

In the morning, I would wake up and I would have a meal of 3 slices of toast burnt a little but not too burnt, with jelly and butter on it, I would have 4 patty type of sausages, 2 eggs, and 6 slices of bacon, and I would have a big glass of orange juice. After this I would watch college football or NFL if it was on. By that time the morning would be over and it’d be probably about 2:30.

By now it would be afternoon and I would start calling my favorite relatives and my best friends, and possibly good friends who I haven’t spoken with for a long time. I would get together with these people and my uncles house because my uncles house has a big pool with a diving board and pool house and a trampoline. I would get a bunch of food like hamburgers, hot dogs, ribs, rice pilaf, chicken, salad with Italian dressing, green beans, and mashed potatoes with gravy. But most importantly I would talk with all of these people about past memories and funny stuff that happened in life and just laugh and have a good time.

Once this over it would be like 7:30 pm. I would go to the Livonia Rec Center and I would play basketball and football with people that I usually play basketball with up there. I would invite some of my friends there. I would definitely play my hardest and would make sure I smoke everybody and play like it’s my last time playing because it would be, then I would toss around the football. I would play until around 10:30 or 11 then I would go back to my house and I would have it planned for my best friends to all stay the night at my house and I would hang out with my parents and them, I would order 15 dominos large pepperoni pizzas. I would play games like Halo 3, Gears of War 2, Call of Duty 4 and Nazi Zombies on Call of Duty: World at War. We would play all of this on the XBOX 360 which would be hooked up with Full HD on my front screen TV which actually is a brand new Flat Screen with full HD and is a 62”. We would do this until like 5 am. Then we would watch a brand new movie which is a new release with like a bunch of my favorite salted butter popcorn and we’d also have a bunch of Butterzinger ice cream! Then I would make phone calls to people important to me and tell them I love them and blah blah blah, then I would tell my parents and the friends that are over my house bye and that my funeral better kick butt, and my grave stone better be a gravestone that is like 50 feet in the air and says JUSTIN McCULLEY THE GREAT on it.

In 10 Years...

In Ten years I imagine myself living in an apartment rooming with friends, some people who are friends, the funny thing is I’ve actually had discussions with some good friends about possibly rooming in college or after college. My best friend Sean and I have both said we want to go to Michigan State University and that we could room together there and then after college probably room at an at least descent apartment and maybe even a house if we get 1 or 2 more people to room with. If we have girlfriends by then which we probably will because we’ll be 24 then they’ll probably live there too.
After college I will want to live in cities such as Livonia, Canton, Westland, Ann Arbor, etc. I will definitely get around by a car and I will want like an F-150 and I would also like a camaro or something but that will be hard to afford both of those and camaro’s do not drive well during winter.
I don’t exactly know yet where I want to work, but I’ve had some thoughts about it… Something like a police officer, or something in business like at a bank or in an office building. I just don’t want to have to break my back every day at work, like my dad who works at Ford and always tells me to get a job that I don’t have to do so and wear out my body to make money.
In my spare time, obviously there will be a lot more to do because I’m aloud to do anything and there’s no adult who can stop me, so I’ll probably party and go out every weekend, I’ll probably get a little lazy and not want to cook so I’ll probably order pizza a lot and go out to eat a lot and get fast food quite a bit. I’ll also still try to eat pretty healthy, like I’m still going to work out at a gym and run sometimes.
I definitely will want to travel when I’m older, like I definitely want to go to Europe one day to like Ireland or Scotland or Germany or Italy. I want to go to Hawaii one day and Mexico or like somewhere in latin America.

Dirk the Protector

Vocabulary
Menace- a troublesome or annoying person.
Conventional- usual; traditional.
Predatory- stealing or hurting others.
Forerunners- one that comes before and indicates the approach of another.
Impasse- situation which no progress can be made.
Brindled- light brownish, yellow, or grayish hair with streaks of a darker color.

Connections
“There weren’t many boys willing to do the work but with so few alleys, it was still very hard to earn much money. A dollar a night was not uncommon and three was outstanding.” This definitely had to have been a long time ago because now minimum wage for just 1 hour is like 6 or 7 dollars and he is only getting paid 1 dollar a whole night.

Questions
“It would be nice to put it another way but what with the drinking at home and the difficulties it caused with my parents I couldn’t live in the house.” Where is he going to live?
“I was not afraid of work and spent most of my summers working on farms for two, three and finally five dollars a day.” Is this the older years like 1930’s, ‘40s, ‘50s?
“Because I was from ‘the wrong side of the tracks’ I didn’t think I could go to the authorities. It all seemed hopeless. And then I met Dirk.” Who is Dirk? Did Dirk protect him?
“There was a head and a back, and as my eyes became accustomed to the dark I could see that it had scraggly, scruffy hair and two eyes that glowed yellow.” Is this a dog? Will this animal attack him?
“I was just getting my stride, legs and arms pumping, pulling air with a heaving chest, when I rounded into the latest group of boys who were terrorizing me.” Will the attack him? Will the dog that he gave half a burger to possibly help him?

Interesting/Important Sentences/Passages

“That night one of the bowlers had bowled a perfect game-300-and in celebration had bought the pit boys hamburgers and cokes. I had put the burger and coke in a bag to take back to my basement” He doesn’t have much money so he is saving the burger and coke for when he is actually hungry.
“The problem was the hamburger smelled so good and I was so hungry. I decided to give the beast under the stairs half a burger.” He is probably giving the beast under the stairs half a burger to show he is friendly so the beast doesn’t attack him for the whole thing or just to attack him.
“Happy took a swing at me. Dirk took him right in the middle. I mean bit him in the center of the stomach, hard, before Happy’s first could get to me. Happy screamed and doubled over and Dirk went around and ripped into his rear and kept tearing at it even as Happy and his two companions fled down the street.” Dirk helped him again so obviously they have a good cycle going on which is the boy feeds the dog, and the dog helps him when he is about to get mugged. “He caused Happy and his mob to change their habits. They not only stopped hunting me but went out of their way to avoid me, or more specifically, Dirk.” He helped the boy

My Favorite Teacher & Favorite Class

Before the school year started, my friends that already were in Stevenson were all telling me the best teachers, pretty much all of them said to get Mr. Sherburne and I did get him. He teaches biology and he is really, really funny.

Every single day before I have him I wait for 3rd hour which is when I have him. He is one of only two classes that I don't feel like leaving. Everyday he gets the class to crack up at least 10 times and that is the reason why I listen in his class well. I could not see how anyone could not like this teacher he could seriously be like a comedian, the funniest things that he does is he always makes inpersonations of stuff and the funny thing about it is all his inpersonations sound just like the person he is trying to imitate.

My favorite class is definitely weight training. It is a very easy class but I still don't fool around in it much because I actually take weight lifting very seriously, because I'm always trying to get is big as I possibly can because I play many sports.

If I was to fool around in it I would be distracted and would probably do one of the exercises wrong and over time end up hurting myself which obviously is not good, also it is proven that if you are serious when weight lifting instead laughing in between or during exercises you get bigger and stronger than if you were to go in there with a smile giggling.

Mr. Shaw is also a pretty cool teacher who I get by now does not like to mess around. I don’t think I have seen him laugh or even smile in the whole two weeks of school there has been, which for his job is actually a good thing.

First Day of School

The first day of school was not that fun but it really wasn't that bad. Everyone said high school was going to be the best thing ever when truthfully it's not all that great. The sports part is pretty sweet though, I have been waiting since i was like 6 to play high school football because I always went to high school games and saw high school football movies. All it is, is a bunch of random people except for kids in your grade and the grade above, other than that I know my sisters friends and her recent friends really.

It's sort of better than middle school because middle school was sort of boring, especially when were in a higher grade it'll be better because we will be pushing kids around. The first day of school was like really fast for some reason even though it was kind of boring and everyday since then has been fast and I hope it stays that way, because I can't wait for 11th grade for varsity football, it's going to be tank!

The thing that kind of scared me the first day coming into high school was that the next step after this is going to be college which I'll be an adult pretty much on my own, and I also noticed that I can't mess around any more because this is serious from here on out, this is having a good job or possibly not having one at all.
